Aublé Law advised the startup upOwa and its executives on their acquisition of a majority stake in EDF

With the support of Aublé Law, upOwa—a pioneer in solutions for rural electricity access in Cameroon—is joining forces with EDF to boost the development of clean energy in the region. 

This alliance marks a significant step in EDF's commitment to distributed solar solutions, aimed at accelerating the electrification of rural areas in Africa and Cameroon, and plans to connect nearly 2.5 million people to electricity on the continent.
