Aublé Law advised Largillière Finance on the acquisition of Cairn Partners, the investment bank’s first external growth transaction.
Founded in 2005, Largillière Finance specializes in M&A advisory services for the small- and mid-cap segment. The investment bank, which claims to have advised on more than 420 transactions since its inception, is continuing its growth strategy with this transaction and expanding its service offering with expertise in special situations.
Founded in 2016, Cairn Partners assists companies with complex transactions, particularly in distressed M&A, debt advisory, carve-outs, and restructuring. The firm currently has twelve employees, including three partners.
The merger creates a combined team of approximately 60 employees, which is expected to generate more than 20 million euros in revenue by 2026. Cairn Partners will retain its brand and lead the group’s entire stress/distress practice, under the leadership of Julien Sanier and Maxence Bousquet.
This acquisition marks the first step in Largillière Finance’s ambition to build an independent small- and mid-cap M&A advisory platform capable of supporting entrepreneurs, funds, family-owned businesses, and large corporate groups in France and internationally.
