Aublé & Associés accompanies Monk in its €2.1 million fundraising from Iris Capital and other investors

Aublé & Associés advised Monk in its €2.1 million fundraising with Iris Capital, followed by Plug and Play and business angels such as Patrick Sayer, former CEO of Eurazeo, Yannis Yahiaoui, founder of Adot, or Arthur Waller, founder of PriceMatch and Pennylane.

Founded in September 2019 by Aboubakr Laraki and Fayçal Slaoui, Monk is developing a solution capable of identifying damage on vehicles via artificial intelligence from photos. The solution recognizes the different parts of the vehicle and automates expertise tasks.

The startup has quickly won over several major players in the automotive sector, such as Getaround (formerly Drivy), which specializes in car rental between individuals, and is also of interest to the insurance sector, since it enables car insurers to optimize the resources of their experts in terms of damage recognition. This round of financing will enable the company to strengthen its R&D efforts and recruit new profiles, in particular data scientists and sales people to expand in Europe.
